Christ Lutheran Church to present free community concert and dinner

Christ Lutheran Church presents “Concerts and Casseroles” at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 10, at 1930 Diffley Road in Eagan.

The concert and dinner is free and open to the public.

Audience members will go back in time as they enjoy a fantastic musical showcase highlighting the best songs through the decades—including classics from the 1940s, be-bop from the 1950s, and easy-listening classic pop, rock and country from the 1960s to the present.

Concert performers include local musical favorites Alex Mezeritski, Jenni Mezeritski, and Larry Johnson.

Alex Mezeritski is the music director at Christ Lutheran Church and an internationally acclaimed pianist and composer. He has created numerous original compositions and has performed as a soloist and in various ensemble settings throughout Germany, France, Italy, Israel, Russia and other countries around the world.

Jenni Mezeritski has been singing and playing piano all her life, and is also a participant and winner of the MN State Fair Amateur Talent Contest where she sang at the Grand Stand in front of 17,000 people and obtained 2nd place. She has also performed at weddings, parties, and facilities where she sings and plays piano.

Larry Johnson is a singer/songwriter who has performed in the Twin Cities for more than 20 years. He has appeared with the Midwestern bands “Hot Pursuit,” “Liberty Street,” and “The Mockingbirds.” He also sang with “The Ordinaires” in Colleen Raye’s traveling musical revenue, “A Tribute to Patsy Cline.”

After the concert, a free pasta dinner will be served.

All are welcome.
